Currently, when high school students learn English in reading classes, one of the biggestobstacles they encounter is about the vocabulary. In the practice of teaching high schoolstudents, I often hear complaints of students who can’t remember English words. There is noeffective way for students to solve the problem. However, the students in Grade3in highschool feel urgent to deal with it. In the reading comprehension process, the lack ofvocabulary leads to students failing to understand the passage, which shows that for most highschool students,their lack of vocabulary in English reading classes is the bottleneck in thehigh school English reading learning classes. Only when teachers help high school studentssolve the problem to remember words, can students really improve their English reading,writing and translation abilities, and improve the efficiency of reading English and finallyhelp students achieve higher scores. Therefore, it is quite necessary for the author to do anexperiment research about high school students’ English vocabulary learning strategies in theinvestigation and analysis on how to more effectively grasp English vocabulary with thehelp of teachers. Thus, according to the author’s teaching practice, the author selects the "Experiment Research on English Vocabulary Teaching in Reading Class in High School Grade3Studentsas the title, first introduces the current status of high school English Vocabulary and problems,discusses vocabulary teaching in English Teaching significance and solutions, analyzes thestatus of high school students vocabulary learning.English teachers were interviewed abouttheir vocabulary teaching methods. The final conclusions and suggestions about vocabularyteaching are given. First, in the course of high school English teaching,vocabulary learning isstill difficult for students. The teaching method with the aim to help students understand andmemorize vocabulary in different contexts in the experiment proves effective.Second,English teachers should not only focus on teaching methods with creativity but makefull use of various reading materials to promote students learning and encourage them to beself–motivated under various circumstances. Third, there still exist some problems so it isnecessary for teachers to keep introducing efficient learning methods and give proper classinstructions to students. Fourth, communication and cooperation between teachers andstudents should be encouraged. Students can really benefit from reading materials rather thanthe tool to remember. Additionally, the research needs further accuracy between vocabularyand reading tasks because of the limits in samples, the surveyed students and readingmaterials.
