This paper discusses the causes of the "Gongtang teachings", as well as the main content of the teachings.First. The causes can be subdivided as follows:1. Historical background:In the era of the Third Gongtang Tempeh Zhongmei’s life, Tibetan is in an internal and external turbulent time. When the authorities have no ability to control such a chaotic political situation, social turbulence from certain extent affect all aspects of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. Because of this situation, to expose and criticize the society’s ugly; the pursuits of truth teach has become the inevitable result in promoting social development.2. Written reasons:(1) When social contradictions not only in the temple, the infighting of the various sects, but also reflects the incompetence of corruption in local government; different political views between the officials headmen and senior leaders. These unhealthy social sluggish habits not only affected many Buddhist monks and laymen in Lhasa also had a profound impact on the third Gongtangcang.(2) In Gongtangcang main temple, the monks are not on time to participate in the teachings; without authorization shorten teaching time; do things by irregular ways; makes the nature of temple has qualitative mutation. At the same time, the monks don’t study the scriptures hard; some duty monks not doing their work, and not keeping the temple regulations. Resistance to regulation and to improve the unhealthy situations, the author Gongtancang began teaching writing.Second, Teachings can be divided into:1. The teachings of the heritage of the Tibetan Buddhism culture of secular values:no harm living beings, well being of all sentient beings. This is also one of the main ideas of the Tibetan Buddhist ethics, their views can be subdivided into; conscious learning, adherence to the precepts, to comply with the ethical, and believe in the Buddha, the dharma, and the sangha.2. Tibetan Buddhist educational content including "Three learning","Three Tibetan" and more other practices, it is not only the essence of Tibetan culture; also the unique cultural characteristics. In short, the educational philosophy advocated by "Gongtang teachings" is advancing with advanced ideas.3. The way of education is not a system developed under the theoretical issues of a conformist, but to learn new knowledge of modernity, to inherit and carry forward the traditional culture of a combination."Gongtang teachings" breakthrough in this regard, it has not only inherited the unique style of traditional education, but also on the other hand to adapt to a Tibetan language educational innovation system.
