Teaching reform has been performed by many primary and middle schools in China for years. A lot of middle schools headed by Yangsi and Du Langkou are famous for their successful teaching reform, which has been studied by almost all of the middle schools in China. However, many failed or went back not for long time due to simply copying the experience of Yangsi or Dulongkou. So, how to refer to successful teaching reform experience of famous middle schools accurately and make it more suitable to Hongshan middle school.Firstly, teaching reform and teaching method of Du langkou and Yangsi were analyzed in order to find their common experiences about regarding the students as the main body etc. These experiences should be based on the principles of emphasis on learning, learning before teaching, student-oriented classroom teaching, reformation of teaching model, transition of attitude to students and indirect function of teachers.Investigation and interview methods were used to instruct teaching reform and teaching methods of Hongshan middle school. Then, the attitude, effects, and execution about teaching reform were analyzed on the sides of teachers and students to realize the status quo and shortcomings of Hongshan middle school. The primary measures on how to improve our school’s teaching reform were provided. At last, experiences of teaching reform concerned with reference to other schools, transition of school leaders’idea, and some other improvement of our school were summarized.The focus of this study was to find some problems of teaching reform in implementation process based on the analysis of the reform in our school. Some useful experiences of teaching reform in this process were found to provide useful methods which are suitable for our school. Many helpful suggestions were put forward in order to be studied by some schools and promote teaching reform of middle schools in China.
