People Evaluate Rumors Under The Horizon Of Social Studies

Social rumor is a special kind of social phenomenon. It’s everywhere and has an effect on our social life to a certain extent. In this paper, evaluation from the public point of view, the essence of social rumor, the operation mechanism, social function, and response measures as well as the phenomenon of social rumor reflection and evaluation of issues were discussed, to provide some interpretation of how to recognize and prevent and control the social rumor.Introductory part:a brief review of previous research on rumors, and a brief introduction to this paper’s entry point and significance.Chapter I:Introduce the meaning of the rumors. Focus on analysis of the etymology of "rumor", the type and characteristics of the rumors, and a few kinds of rumor definitions. Pointed out that the social rumors are rumors on the social events or phenomena which bring up social effects, and the essence of social rumors is the social evaluation activities of the people.Chapter II:Introduce the basic theory of public evaluation of the people. Focus on analysis of the types and the characteristics of public evaluation, then point out the advantages of public evaluation activities and its evaluation mechanism.Chapter III:Describe the course of social rumors transition and the public evaluation mechanism. The process course of social rumor actually includes a factor that makes it circulate, which should be analyzed both subjectively and objectively. Social rumors generated from the unofficial, non-public channels, and caused a "resonance" feeling in people’s heads, thus the rumors began to spread. In the spread process there will be some kind of rumor Deformation, and the rumor spreading always show some certain characteristics.The conclusions focus on function of public evaluation of the social rumor. Social rumor is an effective method for people to convey the demands or vent their emotions. There is also a counter-tendency of power in these rumors that might have negative impact for our social stability. Be rational towards the social rumors, take some effective measures to prevent and control them in order to avoid the risk of rumor transition to our social life, which is rather important.
