| At present, English as an international language in the world becomes more and more widespread, more and more frequent communication with the process of China’s reform and opengying up, our government and other governments in the business aswell as people-to-people exchanges, people growing need for English as a language of communication. English tools are becoming more and more obvious. Therefore, the Chinese government attaches great importance to the education and teaching of English, began teaching English to students from elementary school, and has served as an important part of the junior high school entrance exams, high school studies exams and university courses. Junior high school English education in rural areas faces greater difficulties due to the impact of rural education and teaching facilities, family, teachers and other factors, interest and academic performance of students learning English is difficult to get a larger raise. Author through the layered approach of experimental class teaching extracurricular reading, and compare the results of the regular classes that hierarchical teaching can bring many benefits to the process of education in rural junior high school English extracurricular reading.In this thesis, the use of the input hypothesis, individual differences in secondlanguage learning theory, the zone of proximal development theory of thisresearch is to guide the experimental object.From my school,two classes fromJunior Two are chosen to take part in the expeiment According to the experimental situation, to draw the following experimental results:Hierarchical teaching to improve teaching quality and student performance has been improved greatly. English extracurricular reading layered teaching in rural junior high school, not only to improve students English reading ability level, but also to make the students’ English vocabulary ability to translate greatly improves students’ English scores increased from78points to88points. Extracurricular reading instruction to improve students’ English voice capacity is not obviousin the experimental class pretest, posttest, voice still average15points.Hierarchical teaching arouses students’ interest and hobby. After theexperiment, the students become more and more interested in learning English.Hierarchical teaching to improve the relationship between students and the teacher. Hierarchical teaching experiment, the relationship between the students, the students and the teachers has been greatly improved, and is conducive to the establishment of the relationship between students and the guidance of the new mutual-help, is guiding a new type of relationship between teachers and students.With the positive results achieved from the experiment, the author isconvinced that hierarchical teaching can be effectively and favorably applied toChinese middle schools.About the structures of this thesis there are five chaptersChapter One introduces background for this research, presenting the currentsituation of extra-curricular English reading in Chinese middle schoolsChapter Two reviews the theories including theories from applied linguistics theories and practices about reading and literary reading.Chapter Three introduces hierarchical teaching experiment in ZiChuanChengNan Middle School.Chapter Four makes a detailed analysis of the data collected from theexperiment to check whether there were certain differences between theexperimental class and the control class in hierarchical teaching.Chapter Five presents the results of the experiment and points out itsimplications for in hierarchical teaching.... |
