China’s political, economic and cultural have achieved rapid development duringthe past more than30years of reform and opening up. The living standards ofChinese people have improved, and the demand for cultural education has beenimproved. Meanwhile, the national policy to support social private education, coupledwith the increasing high demand of students and parents of the tutoring and arttraining, have mushroomed all over the private education and training industryrise. On the other hand, because the state promotes family planning policy over theyears, school-age children is declining in recent years. Education and trainingenterprises increase in the number of school-age children is declining, resulting in theincreasingly fierce competition in the education and training industry.The Tianyuan culture and arts school founded in2005, and it is located inHarbin City, Heilongjiang Province. The school’s main operation of the project is toprovide the tutoring of all the subjects from the primary to junior high school and arttraining. After a few years of development, the size of Tianyuan arts and cultureschool continues to expand, and it has now become one of the influential enterprisesin the training industry. In recent years, as the number of tutorial schools increasesfast in Harbin City, and the fewer number of school-age students, the Tianyuanculture and art schools, as well as the others similar institutions, is faced withenrollment difficult and competitive pressures. To solve this problem, throughanalysis and discussion, this paper proposed the Tianyuan cultural and art schooldevelopment strategies. This article is divided into four sections. The first part is the introduction, at first,it clears the background and significance of this study, and proposes the maincorporate strategy theory and analytical method. It also talks about the concept of"corporate strategy" then the summary review of strategic management research ondomestic and foreign enterprises to "strategic" preliminary understanding, and finallyput forward ideas and structural arrangements of this study. The second part ofdiscusses the outside and the internal environment of the Tianyuan culture art school,at the part of the outside environment, at first it introduces the PEST macroenvironment analysis and Porter Five Forces Model, then it gives a brief introductionof the Tianyuan culture and art schools; and then analyzes the external macroenvironment of the school, discussions of political, economic, cultural and technical,using PEST macro environment analysis, finally, it gives an analysis of the Tianyuanculture and art school in which the industry competitive conditions, the use of Porter’sfive forces analysis model to discuss the threat of new entrants competition amongthe existing enterprises in the industry, the threat of substitute products or services,bargaining power of suppliers, bargaining power of buyers. At the part of the internalenvironment, at first, it shows the meaning of SWOT matrix analysis, then it makesthe analysis and evaluation, focusing on organizational effectiveness and management,and the core competitiveness of the school. Part III focuses on the Tianyuan culturalart school’s external environment, and talks about the opportunities and threats, aswell as the advantages and disadvantages through the SWOT matrix. Part IV talksabout the Tianyuan culture and the arts school’s strategic recommendations, first clearthe existence goals of the schools, and then clear the strategic development goals, atlast concludes with a focused strategy, differentiation strategy and a differentiationdevelopment strategy focusing on faculty.The main contribution of this paper is the comprehensive analysis of internal andexternal environment of the Tianyuan culture and art school. Then the paper gives the differentiation development strategy of the Tianyuan culture and art schoolscombined with the school’s characteristics and current status. And the strategy gainsthe Tianyuan culture and art school a competitive advantage and a strong industryposition.
