With the development of interdisciplinary research, interdisciplinary research teams are constantly maturing.Postgraduate training is one of important tasks for interdisciplinary team research.The quality of postgraduate training in interdisciplinary team, from the microscopic point of view, is related to the sustainable development of the team, while from a macro point of view is related to the future of the country’s research strength. Therefore, we face the problems:how to enhance the research capacity of postgraduate students in interdisciplinary team, how to meet the economic and social needs on applied and complex high-level personnel.Based on related research, the surveys and case studies, the passage tries to explore strategies of postgraduate training by analysing the elements of postgraduate research capacity and studying the influencing factors of postgraduate research capacity development in the interdisciplinary team.In chapter Ⅰ and Ⅱ, applying of literature summarizes to get the background of interdisciplinary research team building, and postgraduate enrollment status and postgraduate severe employment situation, as well as postgraduate research ability in interdisciplinary research. Meanwhile, it explained and defined some related concepts such as research capacity, multidisciplinary, university research team of graduate students. It also discussed the interdisciplinary research team of graduate research capacity and reviewed relevant research and theory.The content of third chapter analysed the influence factors of postgraduate research capacity.On the first section and second section in chapter IV, the thesis described two interdisciplinary research teams which were surveyed by author from invested time and energy of graduate students, participation in the activities and the number of comumunications with instructors in interdisciplinary research team to show the basic development and operation status of the university research team and to come to the experience and factors which affect the graduate research capacity building. Two teams have different sizes and internal management in different ways (for example, one team has a strict attendance system); but the two teams are located in the interdisciplinary platform with an ideal interdisciplinary exchange environment, team leaders with profound academic and moral character and students with strong motivation to learn and research actively and independently. The two teams have formed a positive interaction between the teacher-student relationship and student-student relationship. Thus, the internal factors of students (the motivation of pursuit of knowledge) and external causes (good platform environment and excellent instructors) carry out positive interaction to promote postgraduate research capacity. The survey also found that there’s "unruly" phenomenon in students management in the interdisciplinary platform, which needs urgently to improve. The rest sections of Chapter Ⅳ, a comparative study of postgraduate research capacity in two well-known foreign interdisciplinary platforms:Cavendish Laboratory of Cambridge University and Computational and Systems Biology Platform of MIT, found more similar successful factors.Based on the previous discourse, the thesis discussed the postgraduate research capacity in interdisciplinary team training and promotion strategies in the last chapter. The author proposed "the combination of seven power mode"of postgraduate research capacity-building which includes "cross-force"(to create a better interdisciplinary research environment, broaden and expand the scope and the depth of interdisciplinary),"internal drive"(to cultivate and inspire motivation and Scientific research beliefs of postgraduate),"security force"(to improve the services quality of the interdisciplinary platform for graduate students training ") and so on. Hopefully, the model provides some reference materials for the theoretical research and practical work of postgraduate research capacity-building in interdisciplinary teams.
