The Research Of Urban Community Remodeling Based On The Theory Of Sustainable Development

This thesis analyzed the basic circumstance of urban community remodeling.Urban is the product of the advancement of human civilization. With the themeof city, World Expo2010demonstrates the common perspective of urbancivilization and peaceful development. As the cell of city and also the basis ofurban development, urban community is an organism undergoing different inneran outer environment, facing various restrictions such as living condition,interpersonal relationship, service and management. Thus, urban communityremodeling and enhancement of functionality is necessary to meet the growingneed of citizens. Based on the domestic and foreign theory of urban communityremodeling, the essence of remodeling is not only the material side, but also theimprovement of social and spiritual factors. Under certain circumstances, urbancommunity remodeling based on the theory of People Oriented and Sustainabledevelopment is an overwhelming trend.As a relatively mature district of community remodeling, Changningdistrict has made some attempts, and the experience is referential. This thesisbasically centered on the living condition improvement and functionalityenhancement of Changning’s experience. In terms of living conditionimprovement, the comprehensive improvement project of old residentialcommunity is introduced. While in term of functionality enhancement,community security, public service facilities, community culture and neighborhood relationship is covered. Also illustrated is the cases ofcomprehensive improvement project of Hongmei community, ecologicallandscape reconstruction of Suzhou Creek, Xinhua community residentialassociation, which demonstrates the urban community remodeling is asystematic and interactive project, and should be considered and enforcedcomprehensively and consistently.Also, this thesis analyzed and learned the classic cases of Urban Best PracticeArea of World Expo2010, in order to further study the experience ofinternational urban community remodeling and enlighten the inspiration.Last but not the least, this thesis researched and studied the communityremodeling strategy of China’s major cities characterized by stable urban style,well-off living conditions and mature social development based on theexperience of Changning and international community remodeling. Includingthe target set of urban community remodeling, the establishment of scientificdecision making, the making of systematic planning and action program, theclarifying of the major path of community remodeling, etc..
