As the cradle of cultivating senior technical personnel, vocationalcolleges are an important component of higher education. Comparing with ordinarycolleges, vocational colleges have different objective and model of personnel training. Itsschooling idea, school spirit and management system are also unique. Its campus culturealso has a stronger occupational, social, practical, regional and confluent property.Research on campus culture construction of vocational colleges is of great significance toembody the characteristics of the times and Chinese characteristic of the vocationalcollege campus, training to adapt to the socialist construction with Chinese characteristicsin the high quality talents, enhance our country culture.This paper explained the connotation, category, characteristics and the significanceof construction of vocational colleges’ campus culture. Using the specific researchmethods such as questionnaire survey, survey, interview, empirical analysis, this paperanalyzed the present situation of the campus cultural construction in vocational colleges.Pointed out that the current campus culture construction in vocational colleges are facingsix major difficulties: the school construction time is not long, the lack of culturalconnotation, characteristics, essential humanistic education environment, the networkculture brings certain negative effect, the construction of campus culture the seriousformalism and higher occupation education training target is out of line, as well as the fourmain obstacles: the vocational and technical college students’ quality is low, the unevenquality of teachers, culture accumulation relatively weak, poor school conditions. And onthis basis, by drawing on existing successful experience, pointed out correspondingcountermeasures to strengthen the campus cultural construction in vocational colleges are following the core values of the socialist system, integrate the professional ethicscultivation into the construction of campus culture, the culture consciousness incultivating higher vocational students self confidence and health culture, strengthening theteachers’ team in vocational colleges, and by the various campus culture activities to raisethe vocational college campus taste.
