In new century, one of the major issues in basic education curriculum reform isthe professional development of teachers, and all of subjects of Full-time CompulsoryEducation Curriculum Standard (2011) have set higher standards for primary andsecondary teachers. Many educational researchers at home and abroad have focused on theprofessional development. As the development of technology, video research isbecoming a new method of improving the professional development of teachers. Sohow to apply video research to the teachers’ professional development is the centralissue of this research.This research uses Literature Analysis, Case Analysis and other methods tointroduce video technology and video research deeply, offer the application model toapply it, and illustrate it by a case.This research has the following five sections:The first chapter is introduction, including the reason, methods and meaning ofthe research, and introducing the relevant research at home and abroad, summing upthe results of video research and teachers’ professional development.The second chapter introduces and discusses some theories of video case andvideo research in teachers’ professional development in the foundation of literatureanalysis.The third chapter mainly introduces some theories of learning science aboutteacher learning, and according to it, this paper tries to design a model of teachers’professional development based video research, and introduces a case of teachers’professional development based video research: Video Club.The fourth chapter gives a case of using video research to analysis teachingvideo to improve the development of teachers’ profession.The fifth chapter is the conclusion of the research which is the importance ofvideo research in teachers’ professional development and the steps of using videoresearch, and finally, proposes this research insufficiency and the next researchforecast.
