Based on the research to current situation of cultivation of the critical thinking on Physics Teaching in senior high school and various teaching methods, some paths and strategies were found on cultivation of the critical thinking in the high school physics teaching. These teaching strategies of cultivating students’ critical thinking will contribute to improve physics teaching. Based on the general concepts and general teaching methods of the critical thinking, combined with students’ training objectives on thinking ability from "the ordinary high school physics curriculum standards",the thesis studies the concepts of critical thinking and teaching principles. The methods include literature research, questionnaire survey and statistical analysis. It also compares contents about critical thinking between Chinese and American mainstream physics textbook. On this basis the thesis puts forward some physics teaching methods in training students’ critical thinking ability.The full text is divided into five parts:Part Ⅰ mainly introduces the issues presented in the background, research significance, research methods, research status and research content;Part Ⅱ explains the concept of critical thinking, critical thinking and general relationship between thinking, critical thinking teaching;Part Ⅲ surveys Chinese senior high school students’critical thinking questionnaire, the high school physics teaching material content comparative study of critical thinking;Part Ⅳ compares the contents on critical thinking between Chinese and American mainstream physics textbook.Part Ⅴ puts forward critical thinking teaching principle, cultivating critical thinking ways and methods to cultivate critical thinking tendency and foster critical thinking skills;Part Ⅵ summarizes the research results and future research directions and problems.This thesis draws the following conclusions:(1) Based on comparing the contents on critical thinking between Chinese and American mainstream physics textbook, the thesis puts forward following suggestions:First, the knowledge related to critical thinking should be embodied in dominant way in all kinds of experiments and exercises. Teachers should teach students knowledge on critical thinking in the clear dominant ways.Second, there should be a lot more real world problems or scene creation in the physics textbook.Third, the physics textbook should set summaries and review questions and the forms and levels of questions should be flexible.The fourth, Teachers should courage and guide students to pay more attention to science books and science magazines.(2) The thesis presents a critical thinking training elements model.First, the students should identify critical thinking elements. These elements include target, the problem to be solved, assumptions, results and significance, concepts, information, conclusions and interpretations, views.Second, the students reflect the elements of critical thinking identified.(3) The thesis puts forward the ways of training students’ critical thinking ability in new lessons, exercises teaching, extra-curricular reading.
