This paper reflects the influence of the congenital and self-actualized factors on socialintegration by comparing those college graduates who are non-native and who grow up indifferent environments. It also analyzes the roles that the two factors have played in thesocial integration of non-native college graduates. And by developing the concernedpersonal factors that can be changed, this paper aims to find a feasible method that canpromote social integration of the non-native college graduates. The method adopted in the research is based on a path-analysis method that isincluded in ‘Status attainment model’, which is put forward by Blau and Duncan. Also, bytaking city X ‘s social integration of non-native college graduates as an example, this paperconducts a survey on a total of68non-native students in7districts by adopting themethods of both quantitative and qualitative analysis.Through the research, I found out that the congenital factor plays a more favorablerole in the promotion of social resources and it also contributes more to the institutionalrecognition at the same time. However, sense of belonging like geographical features andcultural traditions and so on, has a more important influence on the students’ sense ofidentification about the city. Compared with the congenital factor, the influence ofself-actualization factors is more general. Even though there is fewer congenital factorsinvolved, but the college graduate can still achieve to integrate with the city according totheir own efforts. At The Macro Level, the key factors are to solve the imbalanceddistribution of regional resources and the identity of regional features. At the micro level, factors like the raise of personal-economic level, the improvement of personal skills andeducation level are also conducive to helping the non-native students’ city-integration.
