The novel reading teaching plays a decisive role in Chinese reading appreciation teaching of senior high school. Because of the influence of examination-oriented education, teachers often make standardized treatment in the novel. They ignore the students personalized, diversified interpretation. But in the new curriculum background the novel reading no matter from the teaching content or teaching purpose than ever to have a lot of changes. So in the new curriculum background teachers should grasp these changes and improve themselves from the subject knowledge or teaching methods, when they are teaching the novels.This paper will be based on the novel style, narrative theory, psychology theory, Chinese pedagogy theory. Also the teachers should combine with the new curriculum background and teaching practice to make a systematic research with the high school novels reading teaching. The main body of this paper is divided into four parts. Firstly, I will Systematical summarize what are novels and the basic characteristics of novels, which is lay the foundation of the novel reading. Then, I will analyze the contents based on the Senior Chinese new curriculum materials and Combined with narrative theory. And I will make a simple introduction in the senior high school of the novel teaching contents and high school under the new curriculum. Find these problem, we will make it as a breach to find the solutions to these problems. Then, I will put forward a series of teaching methods based on the front analysis which is in favor of the novel reading teaching in Senior High School. Finally, in view of the novel teaching I will put forward some methods of Teaching Evaluation which is Coincide with<the high school Chinese new course>.To break the traditional which make the standard answer and achievements as the only criteria for the teaching evaluation method.
