Migrant children are Chinese society mass under the background of urbanization. InBeijing, the number of migrant workers and their children became lager and lager, and thisspecial group of teenagers is in the great disparity between urban and rural areas. Thisthesis is discussing the self-expectation of migrant children in Beijing and the factorswhich the writer believes could influence the development of the unique group of children.The chosen object children in this research are160members who attended the "GrowthGuide" project sponsored by the Hong Kong polytechnic university and "DiversifiedSocial Work" project held by and Beijing new-citizen social work education anddevelopment center. They and their parents accepted the questionnaires and interviews.And the writer also uses Maslow’s personality development demand theory and brownFinn brenner’s ecological system theory as the main theoretical basis of the analysis. Andfinally the writer also gives a lot of relevant suggestions about this issue.
