| The eternal mission of universities is to select and train outstanding talents, and the pursuit of elite education will not be outdated at any age, therefore, it is necessary to research and develop the elite education in universities. If a country want to stand still in the world with strong competence, it needs to develop the elite education, to cultivate a large number of outstanding talents, particularly in today’s world where the elite talents is the core of competition. But in reality, China’s higher education often gets the criticism from the relevant personage in society in the cultivation of talents, especially in the cultivation of innovative international elite talents. Within a certain range, the purpose of autonomous enrollment is favorable to select and cultivate the innovative talents, which completely accords with the developmental requirements of the elite education. So it is necessary to explore the immanent correlation between autonomous enrollment and elite education, to find the way of elite education under the new situation of the autonomous enrollment in the theoretical and practical field.The paper analyzes the problems existed in the practical operation of our universities’ autonomous enrollment and elite education by using many kinds of research methods. Also it carries out the developmental research of our country’s autonomous enrollment system and elite education with reference to the relatively successful experience of foreign countries’ autonomous enrollment and elite education. The author thinks, the autonomous enrollment system should promote the formation of school features, the display of students’ potential, the development of modern university system and elite education, the connotation development of universities; moreover, the autonomous enrollment system should make the flexible admission criteria, supervise mechanism and the relevant laws and regulations. |
