The ideological political education of senior high schools is subordinate to moraleducation. Moral education is what carries out thoughts, politics, morals and psychologicalquality for students. Ideological education is what forms students’ outlooks on life andworldviews. Political education is the one that forms political faiths, beliefs and political ideas.Ideological political education, whose main channel is ideological political educational course,is an important part of school moral education and embodies its key value. Referring to thepresent situation of school moral education, because its goal level is upside down and themethod is unitary, it breaks away from the other links. It’s hard to work together. The overallcomment function is still imperfect. The factors above make ideological political educationfoundation unsteady. Now the political course is in the awkward position. The teachingconcepts, contents and methods are still out of date. For students, some problems arise, suchas indefinite learning aims, weak learning interest, bad study effects etc. Besides, politics isn’tincluded in the science university entrance exams. It makes most students pay little attentionto it. In the background of economic globalization, cultural diversity and information network,complicated social environment makes it more challenging, which increases the teachingdifficulty. As a result, the ideological political educational reform of senior high schools isimperative.The course reform will rebuild the structure of the ideological political education---thenature of the new course, the basic concept of the new course, the goal system and the contentstandards. We should revise the direction of the reform---making the three-dimensionalsystem, founding comprehensive courses, creating the win-win reform and the teachers’professional development, promoting the combination of the course reform and moderninformation technology.At the same time, we should reform traditional course appraisement system all-sided toestablish an new one that can promote students’ overall development, teachers’ professionaldevelopment and the unceasing course development.At the beginning, we must firm the direction of the ideological political educationalreform of senior high students and make the mission and responsibility of the teachers clear.Also, we need to set up the sight of moral education and stick to the concept of the lifelongeducation. We should faithfully stick to our training goals and purposes. Therefore, we willmake the corresponding teaching reform. First, concentrate on the combination of subjectknowledge and life and use books creatively. Second, guide the correct direction and useflexible teaching strategies. Third, promote teaching methods and teaching practice. Finally, advocate research learning and independent learning methods. Meanwhile, we must have abetter teaching appraisement and make full use of course resources, which is the importantguarantee to realize ideological political education.
