To strengthen the monitoring and evaluation of the quality of basic education has increasingly become an important international trend. PISA, TIMSS and other international large assessment projects focus on common and general field, not involving individual regional and cultural features. In order to strengthen the research on local science education in China and supplement the research of monitoring and evaluation of the quality of basic education evaluating measurement research, it is necessary to establish the research framework of the students’ science subject ability based on science education course in China and carry on the related measurement research.This study is mainly used research methods such as literature research, test preparation basing on Rasch model, the frame structure optimization methods basing on confirmative factor analysis (CFA). The research content mainly includes four parts:The first point, the construction of science subject ability and corresponding measurement framework. Basing on the present study of subject ability and science course features, to develop an initial science subject ability and corresponding measurement framework with literature research method.Secondly, developing and quality inspection of instruments for measuring middle school students’science subject ability. Firstly, Develop instruments for measuring middle school students’science subject ability, basing on the initial framework of science subject ability and corresponding measurement and using content in "Physical Science" of science course as research basis; Secondly, using Bond&FoxSteps1.0which is Rasch measurement model-based analysis software to model and analyze collected data. Simultaneously, I exam the reliability and validity of measuring tool and test that if it meet the requirements of analysis with the help of analysis software.Third, optimization of the science subject ability framework. To use Amos6.0which is confirmative factor analysis software to optimize the initial science subject ability framework to form the final framework of science subject ability.Fourth, the application of science subject ability framework. In this paper, I try to use the framework of science subject ability to solve practical problems with the help of statistical analysis by SPSS16.0.In summary, the reliable reliability and validity of instruments for measuring middle school students’science subject ability, which meets confirmative factor analysis on the analysis of the basic requirements. Confirmative factor analysis draws the conclusions as follows:middle school students’science subject ability includes four core parts, respectively science concepts, science symbols,science measurements, science experiments. The four dimensions are not independence, but with science concepts as the center effect factor of the structure while science symbols,science measurements and science experiments are independent with each other. In actual teaching activities, teachers should pay attention to the function of science concepts, focusing on not only the meaning of the science concepts itself, but also the important role it play in promoting the students’understandings of science symbols,science measurements and science experiments. The statistical analysis results by SPSS16.0software shows that:The abilities in "science symbols" area which is a dimension of science subject ability are different between girls and boys of middle school in the’0.05statistical significant level’. The reason may be the different ways of abstract thinking between them. At the same time, we can figure out the weak dimension of science subject ability of students by the science subject ability framework. In addition, there is a significant positive correlation between the development levels of Science and Mathematics subject ability of the students.
