College students’ social practice is an important way for colleges and universities tocultivate talents and carry out college students’ ideological and political education. Socialpractice plays an important role in training the ability of working personally, thinkingindependently, solving the problems and improving students’ comprehensive quality. The aimof studying this subject is to research the similarities and differences of the college students’social practice between our country and the foreign countries deeply and find the helpfulenlightenments for our College students’ social practice.First in the paper, developments stages, characters and actual effects of social practice inChina are summarized. And main problems that appear in social practice are analyzed. At thesame time, the forms, contents and characters of social practice in foreign college students arealso analyzed. On the base of these analyses, similarities and differences in forms, contents,raising funds, providing posts and practice systems are obtained by comparing the socialpractice in our country’s college students and foreign country’s college students. Bycomparing, deficiencies and problems in social practice of our country’s college students areobviously showed. Researching of the similarities and differences also provides referencesand enlightenments for improving social practice in our country’s college students. In thearticle, four suggestions are proposed. They are improving the level of socialization,innovating the notions, building the good environments, and establishing and perfecting thelong-term mechanism. The results obtained in this paper are hoped to give impetus to socialpractice of Chinese college students on a better and healthier way.
