Man’s outlook of values plays an important role in his practical activities thesignificance of which determines the necessity of its education. Cultivating correctoutlook of values is deemed an integrate element for cultivating high school studentsand also a comprehensive representation of the contexts of their families, schools andsociety. The outlook of the present high school students is generally affirmative andhealthy. However, problems still exist in respect of their Money concept, benefit view,view of honor and disgrace, view of life, view of learning. Therefore, in this author’sopinion, education of outlook of values in high schools should centers on its contentswhile in practice caring for teaching approaches and strategies.Altogether this paper is divided into five parts. Chapter one is the preface which,apart from introducing the value and significance of the study, contains problems ofliterature reviews and research means.Chapter two is concerned with an investigation and an analysis of the status quoof the outlook of values of the high school students in part areas of Chongqing, China.And an analysis based on the reverse side of their outlook is made so as to determinethe impact of the4elements, i.e., students per se, families, schools and society uponthe negative outlook.Chapter Three focuses on foreign experiences. By reference of general modes offoreign education concerning students’ outlooks of values, significance of learningfrom foreign experiences is maintained.In Chapter four, some education strategies are put forward based on analyses ofthe modes and principles of education of outlook of values of high school students. Byexamining the education features both at home and abroad, some experiences aresummed up concerning establishment of the underlying principles of value outlookeducation for the Chinese middle school students. Proposals to improve the education of outlook of values are also raised concerning such aspects as students per se, family,school and society.Chapter five is the conclusion. |
