On The Teachers' Renewal Of Ideas Of Education

It is necessary to expedite reform and development if education is geared to the 21st century and intellectual economy .At present time, there are various aspects within our educational reform and development, in which the most important is to advance the quality-oriented education. The quality-oriented education is an open and creative education, the basic elements of which are fullness, wholeness, predominance and diversity and the basic feature of which is to train talents of high-quality, having the thinking and quality of blazing new ideas. High-quality talents need the train of high-quality teachers. It is to strengthen the group of teachers that can assure the entire advancement of quality-oriented education and the renewal of ideas of education is necessary to the strengthening of the group of teachers. If the teachers' traditional ideas of education are somehow objective and reasonable, then in the new century, they have lost their grounds. Teachers should keep the pace with the time and meet the needs of the reform of the era and break with the old-fashioned ideas of education to have a new understanding and form the new outlooks on students, talents, course, learning and quality with Marxist theory of human's overall development .For the outlook on students, we should change the ideas, such as "teachers' virtue "and "Teacher is the decision-maker" to the democratic, equal, harmonious-relationships between the teachers and students and highlight the students' characteristics .For the outlook on talents, we should change the traditional ideas of education of "standard mode" to the creative ideas of education in the era of information and form the diversified outlook on talents. For the outlook on learning, we should change the outlook only aiming at teaching the students how to learn, paying attention to the students' participations and realizing the change from teaching to learning to make the students develop in active learning .For the outlook on courses, the ideas of losing contact with life "should be changed to the open ideas of being closer to life" to form the new national quality .For the outlook on quality, the evaluation concept, attaching importance to the proportion of students entering college should be changed to the one of fully and wholly-developed quality-oriented education ,the result of which is to emphasize the students' wholeness and the fullness of developments. All in all, inthe 21st century of intellectual economy era, teachers should form the outlook on students of nurturing the students' personalities, the diversified outlook on talents, the outlook on courses of forming the new national quality, the outlook on teaching of students' own active developing and the outlook on quality emphasizing the students' wholeness and fullness of development.
