This paper from consumption under the perspective of low carbon demographic factors impact on economic development, combining with literature review and analysis of data on low carbon economy integrate the relevance of demographic factors. Inspects the nearly 30 years of China's population factors influence of carbon emissions, found population consumption and population structure change on our carbon emissions impact, has received more than the total population of single influence, population change and economic development, technical changes are human the decisive factor in climate change. Household should become China's energy conservation and emission reduction of demographic analysis unit, study population and household structure and geographical region distribution changes are also one of the factors to be considered. An ageing population and total population urbanization, household such influence future climate change is the important population factors. In view of the analysis result the discussion of China's low carbon social development of relevant strategies.This paper mainly includes: low carbon economy connotation and the relationship between the sustainable consumption, low carbon economy development prospect and the current consumption population in our country. Analyzes the problems existing in the residents' consumption, and the way of the pressure on resources and environment, residents' consumption of the regional diversity of population change, the influence factors of carbon emissions, and population urbanization and the carbon correlation, and in order to promote a low carbon economy of relevant policy Suggestions.
