The Comparative Research Into China And The United States To Develop The Student Of The Volunteer Activities

By taking it as an opportunity, the domesticvolunteer service develops flourishingly. The concept of volunteer service spreadswidely, the number of volunteers increases, the field of service enlarges, and thevoluntary service becomes a new trend for the society. By its unique charm, voluntaryservice attracts the enthusiasm and attention of contemporary college students andmakes them participate in this great career. In the process of selfless dedication andhelping others, college students volunteers branch out continuously and dare to innovatein command of the Communist Youth League. They work creatively incorporating thetheme of age closely and provide abundant experience for the development of volunteerservice. Compared with the volunteer service in the United States which has a longhistory, there are various problems in domestic voluntary work because of its late startand unmatured development, which obstructs the continuous development of domesticvolunteer service. Based on the comparative analysis of similarities and differences ofvolunteer service in these two countries, this paper provides some suggestion forpromoting the volunteer service of college students in our country, which is of greatimportance to the development of the volunteer service of college students. Researchmethods of comparison, literature study and historical method are adopted to illustratethe general situation of volunteer service for college participants in China and the USA.The perspectives of service field, legal protection, financing channels and registrationsystem are investigated. Suggestions for promoting the volunteer service of collegeparticipants in China are presented by dint of the experiences of developed countries.Relative to developed countries, especially in comparison with America, China’svolunteer service has a late start, development wasn’t mature enough, there are such asvolunteer services relatively narrow, volunteer service content rigid, voluntary servicecontent of science and technology is low, the dependence of the government is stronger,the project’s not to work on, volunteer activities funding gap is opposite bigger, the legalrights of the volunteers have not been fully guaranteed.
