The voluntary service in China during the past several decades hasbeen developing rapidly, however, still far can not meet the demandfor voluntary service. Therefore, the young students’ awareness ofvolunteer service is imperative. However, due to the late start of ourvolunteer service education, although in recent years, the legislativework of the volunteer service education has made great progress, butthe corresponding measures and safeguards are also difficult to keepup. Voluntary service training has lagged behind, no special traininginstitutions and training materials, engage in volunteer serviceeducation of teachers is also lacking. In addition, the age of the pupilsare small and prone to injuries in the process of voluntary service, butalso the lack of enthusiasm for one of the reasons the school to carryout voluntary service. Therefore, the training of primary school studentshigh school volunteer service awareness urgent guide.In this study, action research as the main method, around highgrade primary school students’ volunteer service awareness, in thenatural, authentic education environment, to survey pupils for voluntaryservice to obtain basic knowledge, develop suitable for primarycharacteristics of volunteer service. Through the three action cycle,take the school education and home education combining theoryeducation, voluntary service and volunteer service practice, teachingand self-study combined approach to training, summarizes thedeveloping high grade primary school students’ volunteer serviceawareness of effective ways and means,to fill the primary schoolvolunteer action research on blank.The results showed that:(1)Through the cultivation of the upper primary students awareness of volunteer service in the action researchcan enable students to master certain skills, in unity and cooperation tocomplete the appropriate volunteer service projects, from the successof a happy emotional experience. And self-worth, emotionalidentification of the volunteer service, the formation of a pro-activeawareness of volunteer service.(2) Volunteer service education bypupils of different psychological characteristics, the impact of differentfamily education, prone to repeated, uncertainties and othercharacteristics of long-term mechanism of voluntary service educationindispensable.(3) Volunteer service education, but also to cultivatestudents sense of social responsibility, sense of historical mission, health,teamwork and dedication to the best of the classroom, opened up theway of the Moral Education in Schools.Finally, summing up the experience gained from the culturedprimary students awareness of volunteer service at the same time,given the effective implementation of recommendations of how tobetter promote volunteer service education for schools, families, theeducation sector.
