Objective:Examining the three representative sex hormones of Hypothalamic-Pulsatile-Adrenocortical Axis(HPA Axis) as well as the four cytokines secreted by Thl and Th2cell with the purpose of analyzing the effects of acupoint injection of Radix Astragali to HPA Axis together with Thl and Th2type cytokines in Sport Fatigue Rats.Methods:32rats were divided into normal group, model group, acupoint injection of Radix Astragali group acupoint injection group randomly,8rats in each group. The standard of the swimming pool is100cm×70cm x80cm, water temperature is30±2°C. During the first7days, the rats start to swim for3hours in9a.m., while from day8to day10, the rats swim for3hours in9a.m. and3hours in6p. m., with6hours interval Treatment:Everyday after the swimming training, the rats were injection with Radix Astragali and physiological saline in zusanli (ST36) acupoint respectively in acupoint injection of Radix Astragali group and acupoint injection groupExamining:Weighing each rats after the swimming training everyday. After the swimming training and the10days treatment, all the rats were injected with chloralic hydras for anesthesia. The blood was taken from each rat’s heart and hypothalamic was made into20%homogenate with physiological saline. The contents of CRH and IL-2in the homogenate of hypothalamic together with the contents of ACTH, CORT,1L-2, IFN-γ, IL-4and IL-10in blood serum were examined.Results:The content of CRH in hypothalamic of model group was much lower than that of normal group, while the content of in blood serum CORT of model group showed a significant decrease in comparision with normal group (p<0.01), what is more, the ACTH in serum of model group is almost in the same as that of normal group. On the contrast, the content of CRH in hypothalamic of acupoint injection of Radix Astragali group is just a little more than that of model group, however, the ACTH and CORT in serum drop rapidly in the comparison with those of model group (p<0.05-0.01). Furthermore, the change of HPA Axis in acupoint injection group appears meaningless in statistics. The ratios of IFN-γ/IL-10and IL-2/IL-4in model group both experience a gradual decrease compared with, normal group while the two ratios of acupoint injection of Radix Astragali group are much higher than model group (p<0.01), moreover, acupoint injection group grows gradually in the comparison with model group.Conclusion:1、The treatment of Acupoint Injection of Radix Astragali can prevent the rats from losing weight after swimming.2、The treatment can help rising the secretion of CRH in hypothalamic, CRH holds up the secretion of ACTH and CORT, the decrease of ACTH and CORT would prevent the HPA Axis from the disorder causing by sport fatigue.3、The treatment could keep the balance between type Thl and Th2cell, suppressing the balance floating toward the type Th2cell.
