| The wheelchair fitness exercises makes convenience for the disabled who are classified as the moderate class in the lower limb group and the office group who are always sedentary. The goal of enrichment and perfection of the disabled is reached. The set is economical and the playgrounds and equipments used are easy to reach. You can do it in any time and at any places.This paper adopts experimental methodology, in which45-59year-old lower-limb-disabled are recruited. Through6months’experiment, the following conclusion was made:1. After Six months of wheelchair fitness exercises, the indicators of locomotion functions significantly improve according to the data collected, e.g. flexibility of the joints, the extension and curling ranges of lumbar vertebra are enlarged and the ability of controlling their body was improved.2. Six months’wheelchair exercises improve the respiratory functions, which can be seen according to the indicators such as pulmonary and the maximal ventilatory volume.3. Physical fitness and life quality can be improved through these exercises among the old. Suggestions:1. this set of exercises should be promoted among the lower-limb-disabled and the sedentary people.2. the mechanisms of the wheelchair exercises need to be researched further and the attention should especially be given to the effects made by the exercises in curing and prevention of the nerve system and sub-health problems. |
