Objective:This study to observe long-term effects on male college students’cardiac function and lung function generated by eighteen weeks fitness training. Methods:taking 28 male college students who didn’t received professional fitness training as subjects, all subjects had been fitness trained for 18 weeks, twice a week,80 minutes of a class. Tested the subjects’HR, CO, EDV, ESV, EF, SV of heart, VC, FVC, MVV of lung function under the condition of static,8 times 60%1RM squat and 8 times 80%1RM squat in first week and eighteenth week. Results:the major changes of the subjects cardiopulmonary function indexes after eighteen weeks’fitness training:(1) HR declined 4% compared with the experimental intervention on static condition, (p> 0.05); HR declined 8%compared with the experimental intervention on 8 times 80%1RM squat condition(p<0.01). (2) CO declined 9%compared with the experimental intervention on static condition (P<0.05);COdeclined 5.4%compared with the experimental intervention on 8 times 80%1RM squat condition(p>0.05). (3) EDV declined 8%compared with the experimental intervention on static condition (P<0.05); EDV increased 0.3%compared with the experimental intervention on 8 times 80%1RM squat condition(p>0.05). (4) ESV declined 10%compared with the experimental intervention on static condition (P<0.05); ESV declined 16%compared with the experimental intervention on 8 times 60%1RM squat condition(p <0.05). (5) EF increased 3%compared with the experimental intervention on 8 times 80%1RM squat condition(p<0.05). (6) SV declined 8%compared with the experimental intervention on static condition (P<0.05). (7) VC increased 6.8%compared with the experimental intervention(p <0.01);FVC increased 9.1%compared with the experimental intervention (p <0.01);MVV increased 0.2%compared with the experimental intervention(p>0.05). Conclusions:fitness training of eighteen weeks can(1) Improve LVPW by 22%,cardiac muscle increase.(2) It can improve VC and FVC of male college students significantly under static condition;(3) It can significantly decline HR and SV and increase EF during quantitative intensity exercise, which shows that cardiac pump function can save the supernumerary energy;(4)It can significantly improve EF during secondary maximum intensity exercise, which indicates the cardiac pump function has been able to meet the metabolic demands of submaximal load in the long term fitness training, and therefore cardiac reserve increased.
