School-based curriculum development of IT (information technology)hasbecome more and more important in school-based curriculum system with thedevelopment of curriculum reform of China’s basic education. To meet with thedevelopment of curriculum reform, this paper is conducted on the basis of a widerange of relative literature collection, translation and collation on school-basedcurriculum development and school-based curriculum development of IT to analyzethe current research at home and abroad. The study attempts to construct adevelopment model and some implementation strategies which are suitable forschool-based curriculum of IT in both theoretical and practical dimension.This study may not only enrich the theoretical connotation of school-basedcurriculum development, promote teachers’ professional development as well asinterdisciplinary integration, but can also contribute to the development of students’information literacy and form a style which is featured with digital school-basedcurriculum.This paper adopts four main methods: Literature analysis, questionnaire,observation and action research. The thesis consists of four parts: the theoretical basisof primary school-based curriculum development of IT, the development model ofprimary school-based curriculum development of IT, teaching objectives, content andimplementation methods of individual cases of online school-based curriculumcharacterized by Hainan culture and the evaluation as well.Based on the analysis of present development situation and teaching content ofprimary school-based curriculum of IT, the study has proposed the developmentcharacteristics and models of school-based curriculum which are integrated withHainan local culture, further designed the teaching contents of prescribed section inthe course book named ‘network applications and community production’ to form thedevelopment and implementation methods of ‘online school-based curriculum casescharacterized by Hainan culture’, thus to explore the law of school-based curriculumdevelopment when information technology are integrated with elementary schooldiscipline. Besides, this study also adjusts certain common problems about thedevelopment of school-based curriculum of IT and concludes the characteristics ofthe school-based curriculum development of IT using a variety of evaluationapproaches.
