Training scientific method is an important way to proment the scientific literacy of citizens. Chemical scientific method is formed by chemists in chemical activities, but it can also be applied to other areas of research. At present, the cultivation of the scientific method is lacking of comprehensive guidance, these problems are not explicitly pointed out in the new secondary curriculum standards.On the basis of researching a large number of literatures on scientific methods,the article elaborated the concept of scientific method, the historical background and developments of scientific methods training at home and abroad, the classification of the scientific method in the first chapter. Based on a year of teaching experience, the author analyzed connotation of several scientific methods which should be trained or cultivated; These methods were observation, condition control method of single factor, analysis and synthesis method, inductive and deductive method, comparison and classification, analogy. After a five-month teaching experiment of teaching scientific methods, the author summarizes the general way to cultivate the scientific method, that is to teaching the scientific methods in experiments explore, through the history of chemistry, in the process of knowledge acquisition, and to strengthen through the scientific method problem-solving. Questionnaire results show that, there were significant differences of the application level of observation, analysis and interpretation between experimental classes and control classes. Teachers in the training process of the scientific method play an important role.
