Institutional Research Feasibility Study Of The Management In Colleges And Universities In Our Country

Nowadays, the higher education in China has entered the popular stage ofdevelopment. Broadening power of running universities has been expanded andimplemented. The interval and the external environments of development of universitieshave transformed immensely and profoundly. Although universities face newopportunities, meanwhile the following new impacts and challenges cannot be neglected.The concern of researchers must focus on responding to the challenge caused bycomplicated management issues in universities. Under that circumstance, the decisionmaker’s attention should focus on the institutional research centers on managementproblems. Thus, strengthening institutional research is not only the necessaryrequirement of the internal demands of higher education development，but also the latestsign of the higher education research.In this paper, the generation of institutional research, history, properties,characteristics and research institutions in the role of university management will beelaborate. In addition, through analyzing current issues and reasons of institutionalresearch in China, this paper will propose countermeasures of improving institutionalresearch. Based on this, prospects of the future development trend of institutionalresearch will transform from reference into creation. The ultimate purpose of creating ofthe institutional research is establishing the standard institutional research system,making the research content practicable, and creating the data analysis system.
