A Research On The Reform And Development Of National Sports Training Center

Being the important support of athletic sports, the training base is always improving itself as the development of world athletic sports. Over the world, establishing high-level and intensive training bases becomes the general methods of developing athletic sports among sports power. In China, the gradually standardized training bases have already been an integrated part of the development of our sports industry. After the successful host of the Beijing2008Olympic Games, training bases meet an important chance to develop. In the previous researches, there are many studies on partial functions of facilities, researches, and training bases of the single project. However, the number of the overall function of comprehensive training bases research is limited.National Sports Training Center, the most historic one in China, is the large comprehensive training base that integrates training, researches, medical care, education and accommodation. It is the typical representative of domestic training bases, yet still has some disparity with world advanced training bases. Taking the National Sports Training Center as an example, this study will make a research through document analysis, interviews, on-site investigation, mathematical statistics and other research methods, together with related theories on sports management. The essay will make the National Sports Training Center as integrity, analyzing the composition and functions of each part. In the analysis, this research is to identify some problems existing in the process of reform and development of National Sports Training Center, and to provide related advice. Results are as follows:1. Being the important composition and carrier, the training base plays significant role in the development of athletics sports system. Under the direct control of the General Ministration of Sports of China, the comprehensive training base is capable of providing necessary training conditions and logistical supports for national high-level sports teams in a long term. 2. National Sports Training Center is an integrated unit consisting of training, researching, medicing, and cultural educating. The outstanding feature is congregation, purposiveness, relevance, seperability and openness.3. At present, the quality of staffs in National Sports Training Center has increasingly been improved in a large sense. However, the structure of human resource needs to be more rationalized, for the working staffs are now the main part and the number of professional researchers is limited. The funds of training bases depend largely on national financial allocation. There emerges the contradiction between the insurance of creating income and the interests of national team. Moreover, there leaves little room for the development of harware facilities, like sites and stadiums, and the functional level of these facilities needs further improvement.4. The training center has taken various measures to educate the sports team in culture, carrying out the policy of educational qualification and quality education. However, it still need to establish the related systems to ensure the education system and to meet the needs of sports teams is of great important. Right now, the ideological education in the teams lacks of efficient methods.5. The training center is just at the starting stage on the establishment of research information system, medical care information system and remote network system. Therefore, integrating resources, establishing the database of athletes and sharing related statistics are all important in the efficient guarantee and connection of athletes’training, medical care and education.6. The training center gives great contribution to the Chinese sports diplomacy by different kinds of exchange programs. However, it is still not. establishing the communication system under the effective and long tern relationship with other leading training center overseas. In recent years, the training center focuses on the culture establishment but lack of impactful promotion. The exertion of demonstrative function for other training center in China is still not enough.
