With the rapid development of network technology, the application of computer has deeplyinfiltrated into people’s daily life and communication in the information age. The application ofcomputer is almost everywhere. It is difficult for us to imagine if there is no computer, no network,what the world would look like, and what our life will be like. The development of Internet hasgreatly enriched the culture of the network, and people’s life on the Internet. However, we shouldsee that the rapid development of network also has both pros and cons. It brings people greatconvenience, and challenges, too. One example is network games.’ Game’ can be traced back toancient times. In recent years, a variety of games emerged using computer as a carrier. Although itsoriental intention is to help people to reduce working pressure, improve work efficiency, or reducethe waste of resources. It caused some negative effects, and has caused the extensive concern of thesociety when it entered the elementary and middle school students’ extracurricular life. The schoolcome very naturally to assume this responsibility to guide this special group to the correct use ofinformation technology.The classroom plays an important part in the reform of basic education. Along with theinformation technique (IT) has been put on the agenda of the curriculum reform, Computers get intothe vision of education field. Computer-based instructional design offers teaching great conveniencewith its flexibility, diversity and other characteristics. Nevertheless, at the same time, IT courses arebeing faced more pressure.The main purpose of this study is to test if the games has any potential for teaching, to analyzehow to use educational games to improve teaching effectiveness in the classroom when it cannot becircumvented. In this study, all the work would be based on practice, and hoped to be valuable forthe arrangements of IT teaching in primary school. The feasibility of the application of educationalgames in the IT curriculum in primary schools would be put forward on the basis of literatureanalysis, questionnaire survey and teaching materials analysis, and its strengths and limitationswould also be analyzed objectively. The work of verification, evaluation and modification would bein practice.The works of this thesis are mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1) Analyzing current application of educational games.(2) Analyzing the common elements of teaching of various typical teaching modes, and build ateaching model more suitable for the information technology;(3) Excavating the potentials of educational value of educational games, combining to certaingame-teaching cases. (4) Doing some instructional design based on educational games, and using them inclassrooms, and then making a reasonable analysis with the statistical evaluation after class.
