Research On Girls’ Schools In Modern Tianjin

Modern Tianjin girls’schools emerged and developed after The Second Opium War, when Tianjin was forced to trade. As the special geographical location, political, economic and cultural background of Tianjin, the development of Tianjin Modern Girls’school education is distinctive and representative. Through the collection and collation of existing documents and literature in Tianjin, author analysis the development track and management of modern Tianjin girls’ school. And on the basis of these, furthermore explores the relationship of girls’schools, woman’s liberation, modernization of Tianjin education and the modern girls’schools.This thesis consists of five parts.The first chapter introduces and explains the reasons for the topic and the research of girls’education, Tianjin education and girls’schools in recent years. By analyzing these documents, I found that the research of modern girls’schools of Tianjin is extremely scarce, need to be further explored.The second chapter introduces the overview of the development of the world girls’schools education, the emergence and development background of girls’schools in Modern China and advanced people’s ideals and practice about girls’schools in modern Tianjin. And from above three aspects, analyzes the rise background of the girls’schools in modern Tianjin.The third chapter narrates in classification the development process of some government girls’schools, Private girls’schools and church girls’schools.The fourth chapter analyzes the development model of Tianjin girls’schools from five areas of curriculum, personnel, organizational structure, internal and external activities and sources of funding.The fifth chapter analyzes in detail the relationship of girls’schools in modern Tianjin, woman’s liberation and modernization of Tianjin education. And summarizes problems in girls’schools development and enlightenment of modern girls’schools.
