With the new curriculum to promote implementation of integrated curriculum new curriculum reform has become the focus of attention. Geography as an integrated discipline, plays an important role in the cultivation of students comprehensive abilities. China has always had the old saying, history and geography is one family, under the background in the new era, we need how to explain it? This article strive to departure from the geography teaching practice. Explore the application of historical knowledge in the teaching of geography in middle school. I hope to provide some reference and inspiration for curriculum integration and practice the majority of geography teachers.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction.Briefly described the selection from the historical knowledge of middle school geography teaching. To elucidate historical knowledge as the starting point for geography teaching in middle school. And through the relevant documents, make it clear what is the problem of historical knowledge.The second part of the first instructions from the natural connection of geography and historical knowledge of inevitability of historical knowledge in the teaching of geography in middle schools. Comply with the requirements of the new geography curriculum standards, is the inevitable trend of development of an integrated curriculum.The thirdly part mainly knowledge of history in one to three high school taught version of the current Peoples Education Press experimental textbooks, compulsory textbook systematically analyze, organize them into the form. Matriculation subject and select the subject of analysis of historical knowledge in the teaching of geography in the middle school and then study in the review of classroom teaching.The fourth part illustrates the historical knowledge in middle school geography teaching application, is conductive to arouse students interest, improve teaching efficiency; in favor of geographical knowledge memorization; helps to carry forward the excellent national culture, enhancing the sense of national pride.The fifth part discussed the history knowledge in middle school geography teaching application should be take measures. First proposed the historical knowledge in middle school geography teaching application principle, secondly, improving teachers professional quality. In the conclusion part, this article put toward the some shortcomings, hope follow-up efforts.
