Research On The Vocational Aptitude Of Senior High School Students

Senior high school education is an important period to help students form outlook onworld, life, and values. It is the key stage of growing up. As a connecting link betweenthe preceding and the critical stage in national education system, facing highereducation and learning, the pressure of employment, high school students shouldaccelerate socialization process. High school students are not mature enough in themental, emotional, moral and social aspects, they are still in the personification ofprocess, so high school education on students’ future plays a key role. The schoolshould make sure every students find their interests to develop their vocationalaptitude to facilitate adapting themselves to the social development.By questionnaire and depth interview, I focus on the students at common levels,graduates and teachers to research the status quo in developing students’ vocationalaptitude. I find the school, teachers and students don’t realize the significance ofdeveloping vocational aptitude in senior high school, the situation is not very good,and the students are not clear in vocational aptitude. It will bring negative effects onstudents’ future, education resource and society. I analyze the reasons of not attachingimportance to vocational aptitude form three directions: students, school and teachers,and give some advices respectively. It should be a multiple choice for senior highschool students to develop vocational aptitude. Hoping the school and teachers payingmore close attentions to students’ vocational aptitude, thus we can promote thedevelopment of the guidance for high school students.
