Research About University Patent Transformation Based On System Dynamics Theory

Technology innovation has a decisive role in the development of a country’s economy. China will rely on science progress and technology innovation as the source of country’s economic growth. Having a lot of talents, Intensive intellectual resources and rich subjects, university is the main force of national scientific and technological innovation. By undertaking different kinds of national scientific projects and research projects commissioned by enterprises, universities produce a large number of patens annually. However, the situation of patent transformation is not optimistic. A lot of available patents are wasted. Especially the wasting of innovation patents which are the efforts combination of many scientists and much valuable has direct impact on our country’s technology progress and innovation. Research about university patent transformation is always scattered and repeated, lacking of in-depth demonstration and commence. The paper mainly research university patent transformation system’s operating mechanism, main institutions, affect elements, causality model and main feedback loop and so on.In order to supply scientific theoretical basis for patent transformation.Firstly, the paper analyze transformation status, relational organizations, current patterns of China, America, Japan, British and make a contrast between in different countries,summing up the reasons for low transformation efficiency. Secondly, by using the theory and methods of system dynamics, statistics, we can further research composing elements and their relationships. What’s more, we can draw causal diagram, stock and flow diagram and build simplified system dynamics model of university patent transformation, and finish instance simulation. At last, on basis of the above study, the paper summarizes some suggestions of university patent transformation as the references for relevant departments.
