Secondary education is not only a basic stage of education inChina’s education, but also a very important intermediate stage inour educational system,which plays the role of link between pastand future in our educational system.Therefore, the layout of aregion of secondary schools in the geographical space isreasonable or not, not only directly affects the development ofsecondary education in the region, but also affects regionaltransport, population distribution and other factors ,so, under theguidance of the principle of the nearest entrance and optimizingeducational resources, we should be on the basis of a reasonableforecast of the number of secondary schools’students,scientifically determine the service radius of each secondaryschool, rationally plan the layout of the secondary schools in thegeographical space , to avoid secondary education blind spots andover-concentrated areas.In recent years, with the continued development and growth ofChina’s economy, China’s urban population and the populationstructure have also undergone tremendous changes, in order to allsecondary schools’students are able to enjoy equal access toeducational resources, the rational distribution of secondary schools and optimization of secondary education resources tobecome a long-term primary task facing our government andeducation sectors.Among them, the rational distribution ofsecondary schools in the geographical space is the key. For thisreason, this article takes the space layout of Linfen City secondaryschools as example, from the perspective of geography, theapplication of central place theory and urban planning theory,through the analysis of Linfen City’s population, transportation,policy and environmental factors and so on, with the help ofgeographic information technologies,qualitative and quantitativeanalysis of the spatial layout of the Linfen City secondary schools,which reveals the current characteristics of the spatial layout ofLinfen City secondary schools and the main problems, and on thisbasis, it provides recommendations and implement measures tooptimize the layout of Linfen City secondary schools, which hasprovided an important theoretical basis for rational distribution ofLinfen City secondary schools and secondary education resourcesoptimization.In order to achieve the purpose of this thesis, this thesis fromthe three parts of the six chapters systematically study:The first part is a theoretical basis, including Chapters 1 and 2,this part is mainly to discuss the research background, researchpurposes, research significance, research areas, technologyroadmap, research methods, papers innovation, domestic andinternational research progress and related theoretical studies andso on, which provides a good theoretical platform for the thesis.The second part is the subject part,including Chapter 3, Chapter 4 and Chapter 5, under the first part of the theoreticalguidance, this thesis shifted the research priorities to the regionof the case, namely Linfen City, through the understanding of thebasic situation of Linfen City, analysis Linfen City secondaryschools spatial layout status quo, the main problems andinfluencing factors, and put forward proposals and measures tooptimize the layout of Linfen City secondary schools.The third part is the research results, including Chapter 6,through the first two parts of the theoretical analysis and casestudies to draw conclusions of the study of this subject, andpointed out the inadequacies of this paper, which point out a cleardirection for the future study.
