At present, most students are still using a traditional method in physical exercise, training and competition. A poor physical constitution is a major factor that affects personal physical ability, also a major reason for the difficulty in physical teaching and training. The functional harmony of human body during sport is mainly influenced by stabilizing the core parts, to maintain the center of gravity in motional unbalanced status, maintain correct and harmonized body status, deliver strength between upper and lower limb, enhance physical stability and flexibility centered by trunk of body, and also prevent unnecessary injuries during sport, so as to improve sport performance and personal core parts strength. In the past, the research on body functional harmony is mainly focusing on common functional harmony training on adolescents from the nervous and physiological function point of view. Very seldom the training on enhancing functional harmony by improving function and strength of human body and muscle is done on general college students. And there is almost no research on common college students by using core strength training method to influence the physical functional harmony so as to master and use athletic technology and improve sport performance. This experimental research provides a new type of efficient, effective and various training theory and methods for general college educational training activities.By using various methods such as documentation, expert interview, questionnaire, experiment, statistical method, this thesis has stressed on the method of experiment by chosen 20 male students from Xi’an Information College for a 12-week training on general strength training and core strength training. Following are the results and suggestions from this experiment:1. Functional harmony influences the effects of physical exercise of college students. It restricts the mastering of motion skills and improvement of physical results. The major reasons that influence the functional harmony of common college students are mainly 5 aspects:flexibility, rhythm, balance, connection and posture change. The major evaluating indexes to measure the functional harmony of general college students are cross jumping,30 meter rhythm running, closed-eye standing on one leg, rope skipping, soft ladder skipping.2. The methods used in the core strength training are repetition, cycling and interval trainings. The core strength training has 4 modes:maintain the body motion in stable situation, controlled body movement, maintain the body motion in unstable situation, free body movement. 3. Before the core strength training on the 20 testing objects, the physical ability and functional harmony of students in experiment team and comparison team is of no obvious difference. After traditional and core strength training, part of the physical ability indicator has improved and enhanced in different levels. But the comparison team members show no remarkable difference, average increase 0.736%, while the experiment team has remarkably enhancement by averagely 5.514%. This means core strength training plays a remarkable role on improving the body functional harmony of general college students.4. Due to the importance of core strength in physical training, it can be used as an important method to improve teaching and training result. By strengthening the muscle strength of the core body areas, the powering ability of far-end muscle can be improved; this helps to improve the physical learning and training. Therefore it is very necessary to strengthen core strength training by various methods during daily physical teaching and training for common college students.5. Core Strength training is also a part of physical fitness training, it also relates to and helps to improve traditional strength teaching and training. This is not a conflict to strengthening body functional harmony by core strength training, which helps to improve body functional harmony and enhance comprehensive ability.
