Along with the development of urbanization process, the city continues to expand,making the suburban land-lost farmers have a series of questions in the sustainablelivelihoods. Farmers’ especially comparative developed areas land-lost farmers’ outskirts ofthe main problem is face to that once the land expropriation collection, the land-lostfarmers’ identity change from farmers to the poor people. The land-lost farmers’ life,employment, children education, social insurance, and so on is all have problems. Withrising prices, suburban land-lost farmers’ cost of living expenses are growing, but incomesare having no increase. Suburban land-lost farmers’ real life level is drops. This paper willcombine with sustainable livelihood and suburban land-lost farmers for guidance. Solvingsuburban land-lost farmers’ system and policy objectives must take ‘the sustainablelivelihood’ as guidance. That is mean considered suburban landless farmers problems mustcombine with the farmers short-term survival quality and long-term development goals.Making farmers not only to get sufficient short-term compensation but also to get theability of a long-term development sustainable. To re-know and study of the policy of thefarmers’ sustainable livelihood, and making this as the basic goal for land expropriation.This has a very strong practical significance.
