In May2002, the national Ministry of education has enacted The full-time compulsory education in morality and society curriculum standard (experimental draft), which provides that a Morality and Society course should be opened in the middle and high grade in the primary school (Grade3-6). With the development of the curriculum reform, the teaching materials of Morality and Society are diversification day by day, presenting "one standard and more versions" situation.All teaching materials are in accordance with curriculum standard, what’s the difference between them in the content? What’s the difference in the evaluation of use, especially between the national teaching materials and the local teaching materials? This involves the comparative study on the teaching materials. It not only needs to compare with static text, but also to find the problems through the "dynamic analysis" of teaching material, then we could offer the rationalization proposal. The thesis selects two teaching materials of Morality and Society published by People’s Education Press and Hubei Educational Press, attempts to rely on static analysis and dynamic analysis of them to sum up the experience of compiling a good teaching material. The thesis also puts forward some thoughts and suggestions in content setting, structure arrangement, presentation mode and direction for use of the teaching material, hoping to make the compiling work accord with the educational law and practice, and have a certain reference value on whether the curriculum setting is reasonable or not.This thesis is divided into four parts:The first chapter is the introduction, mainly introduces the research background and research status at home and abroad. On the basis of the former, it constructs the analysis framework of the teaching material comparison.The second chapter is the static analysis of the teaching material. First, it has a general introduction on the two versions of the textbooks, including the compilation background, editors, main features, etc. Then from three aspects, the subject content, structure of subject matter and presentation mode, it has a comparison on the differences and the similarities between the two versions, and makes an analysis from different dimensions.The third chapter is mainly the dynamic analysis of the teaching material. Based on the problems found in the static analysis, questionnaires were designed and investigations were launched. Finally, it makes consolidation analysis on the collection of "dynamic data". The forth chapter is conclusion and suggestion. That is, according to the analysis results, the proposal for the teaching material revision. There are totally four aspects, the topic selection and arrangement, the structure adjustment and perfection, the discussion and improvement of presentation mode, the reflection and advices on the use of teaching materials.
