| Digital geography teaching resources are the important support for geographic information teaching of secondary school. Building a GIS resource library can improve the level of teacher preparation, promote effective activities of teaching and learning, and enhance the literacy of students’ geography and ability of lifelong learning. Geography teaching resources repository and geography teaching assisted software of existing domestic are the electronic map or the Flash animation resources for the middle and high school phase.This article discusses the content of secondary school geography, the characteristics of geography teaching and the teaching of geography in GIS in-depth, design the framework of GIS teaching resource library for secondary school geography, and combined with GeoCourse developed by our group to put the repository into practice.GIS repository is with the following characteristics designed in the paper:rich teaching resources to facilitate teaching and learning activities carried out; flexible and efficient to find; dynamic update of teaching resources by user self; a wide range of resource types, multi-angle display teaching content and other functions and features, has the openness and scalability.The thesis focus on the development and application of GIS teaching resource library which suit to geography teaching of secondary school. The work in this paper like the following:First, there is a study of geography teaching content and secondary school students learning characteristics to determine the style and range of Resource.Second, it is an analysis of advantages and disadvantages about existing teaching resources and teaching system, to determine the design objectives and principles of the Teaching Resource Library.Third, we will collect, design, make, collate and classify multimedia material to enrich teaching resource library according to certain standards which is based on electronic map.Fourth, put the geography teaching resources database into practice, based on GeoCourse and combined with the actual teaching cases, to demonstrate solutions to the problem of insufficient resources in the resource library and meet the needs of individualized teaching. |
