A Preliminary Study On The Construction Of High School Geography Learning Resource

With the continuing implements of course reform and applications of modern educational technologies, the widely use of learning resources focused on students becomes a trend in education and learning. Taking full use of geography resources from both inside and outside of school and setting up resource database for students are of great importance for enriching geography course, deepening the teaching reform, improving teaching and learning.Constructing the database is one of the important tasks of geography teachers, which provides the necessary guarantee for teaching and learning. The questionnaire shows that there is a lack of geography learning resource. This paper is focused on how to establish a database for both teachers and students, how to make the database beneficial for the students to be active and creative in learning after class.The paper consists of the following six parts.(1) Background (2) Based on summary of references, the current situation and existing problems in researching and database establishing.(3)Theoretical basics and guidelines for constructing learning database.(4) Principles and standards for the database.(5) Corresponding strategies for information collection, analysis, classification and database construction.(6) Conclusion and the future studies.A guideline for constructing a geography learning database is presented in this paper. Several practices on the database, the uses of database in teaching and learning show that the learning database is of great importance for the active learning and efficient teaching.
