Contemporary China society, in the case of rapid social development, multi-value orientation, a wide choice of life and the fierce competition of life, sense of vulnerability and helplessness of people’s lives are becoming increasingly serious. Especially university students, they have many problems in education, employment, affective, interpersonal relations and other aspects. The survey report shows that the suicide rate among college students has been high, the suicide rate among college students was significantly higher than their peers, is2-4times that of their peers. In addition, the university campus violence increased, rely on their parents and other phenomenon show that the contemporary college students for life and the value of life is not impressive enough, and even biased. Life education as a new educational thought rose in the West in the1960s, Hong Kong and Taiwan started in the1990s, while the exploration of life education in China’s mainland started lately and concentrated in the field of basic education. The exploration and research of university life education and life education curriculum are just beginning in China’s mainland.This study suggests that university life education curriculum means that university and college for university students physical and mental characteristics and the status of life view opens the curriculum on the university students’ correct understanding of life and the meaning of life, enhance the viability and social adaptability, and enhance their own value of life. The idea of this study is as follows:The first, clarifying the background, purpose, meaning, method and innovation of this study and defining the core concept. Reviewing, summarizing and reflecting the related research at home and abroad by reading a large number of books and literature. Then we carry out research work of Tianjin Normal University life education curriculum as a case, through questionnaires and interviews to understand the status of Tianjin Normal University life education curriculum and analysis the findings deeply. The conclusions are as follows:The first, life education curriculum is still new things, students’ understanding level to it is low. The second, the set of life education curriculum is generally recognized and welcomed by students. The third, students’ overall satisfaction of life education curriculum is higher, students’ satisfaction of its elements is different. The fourth, the effect of life education curriculum is significant, the degree of helping students of different majors is different significantly. The fifth, Life education curriculum has more existing problems to be solved. For the advantages of Tianjin Normal University life education curriculum, we put forward three inspirations:The first, to raise awareness of the importance of the life education, to promote life education curriculum in colleges and universities. The second, to carry out various forms of life education activities and use flexible forms of teaching. The third, to innovate the evaluation of life education curriculum and use open and formative evaluation. For lack of Tianjin Normal University life education curriculum, we put forward four suggestions for improvement:The first, to rich the content of life education curriculum and improve the construction of curriculum resource package. The second, to strengthen the construction of the teaching staff and improve the professional quality of teaching team of life education curriculum. The third, to build a complete system of life education curriculum and play various courses work together. The fourth, to open practice base and increase practice of life education curriculum.
