The Investigation And Analysis Of Hcnan Government Employees’ Spotrs Consumption Status

Our government employees have both morality and ability. They have strong political literacyand theoretical knowledge. However, their hardly optimistic health situation hindered their full play to theirwisdom and ability to serve the society and our people.“Morality and wisdom both depend on a healthybody and there’s no morality or wisdom without a healthy body.” In recent years, it happens quitefrequently that government employees leave their position because of their health issues. Therefore, thisresearch investigation and analysis of Henan government employees’ sports consumption status, in order tostrengthen the guidance and instruction of the government employees’ sports consumption; to establishcorrect sports consumer awareness of “self-investment, self-exercise, self-benefit”; to promote activeparticipation in physical exercises and improve their physical and mental health status; and ultimatelyenable government employees to form a scientific, civilized and healthy lifestyle and work method tobetter serve the construction of a harmonious society.This research used the Henan government employees as the object of study. And it used literature,survey, mathematical statistics and logical analysis as the main research methods. This research is focusedon the study of the current sports consumption status of the government employees in Henan Province andproposed corresponding measures to promote physical exercises in Henan government employees andimprove their physical and mental health.The research study shows: （1）The percentage of Henan government employees who actively enroll in physical exercisesis relatively low; their exercising habits are not ideal; the frequency, duration and intensity of the physicalexercise need to be improved.（2）70.3%Henan government employees have positive attitude towards sports consumption andthe main motives are “to enhance physical fitness”“for entertainment” or “simply interested”.（3）Henan government employees spend less than50RMB per year in physical exercise, whichis low. They investment in sports which have relatively low requirement in skills and places/fields.（4）Henan government employees’sports consumption structure is not very reasonable: in-kindsports consumption is much higher than the labor sports consumption (consumption of spectator sports andparticipatory sports consumption).（5）Henan Province government employees have high acceptance level of the sports consumermarket services, but consider physical exercise consumption pricy, therefore they tend to exercise in publicsports facilities which are charge-free. Henan Province government employees lack information channelsand their employers are often short of sports atmosphere.（6）The subjective factors that impact Henan government employees sports consumption are"lack of leisure time or physical exercise habits "”lack of energy”; while the objective influence factorsmainly include “busy work schedule”,“lack of sports facilities” and “sports consumer prices too high ".
