Colleges and Departments of PE in Higher Education and it's physical education major regard“Developing the Physical teachers for elementary and secondary school” as the main teaching target. The reasons why established physical education major are: Firstly: deliver physical education and management personnel. Secondly: Develop the qualified physical teachers.The physical teachers of elementary and secondary school should possess strong ability of major teaching and comprehensive educational quality, which also are the basis of exploiting their mainly guiding for teachers. This kind of strong major teaching capability and comprehensive educational quality needs students to develop, exercise and improve themselves continuously in the process of learning and practicing the physical education major.While the College Physical Education Department and it's physical education major how to utilize the basic functions of evaluation properly, how to lead and improve students to be a physical teacher with high quality and be propitious to the market of the elementary and secondary school effectively, and how to improve the quality of physical education major students will make a great difference in the process of developing our country's physical career.By knowing what kind of teaching abilities the elementary and secondary school teachers should possess, combining the target of physical education major,applying Documentary study, Mathematical statistics, Logical analysis, Survey research and so forth to survey and analyze the present situation of performance evaluation of College Physical Education Department of Henan university students majoring in physical education Gymnastics. On the basis of reacquainting and analyzing of what goal should the physical education realize and how to finish the tasks, knowing the setting situation about performance evaluation of the physical major student's purpose, content, method, process, type, subject, feedback and so on.The conclusion of the study is as follows:1. Nowadays, the situation of performance evaluation of College Physical Education Department of Henan university students majoring in physical education Gymnastics:(1) At present, College Physical Education Department of Henan province established clear goals for the students gymnastic performance evaluation: inspect the learning effect of students and improve teaching methods through feedback.(2) Thecontent of College Physical Education Department of Henan province's performance evaluation divided into three parts: learning attitude, knowledge and skills, and professional fitness, while daily performance,technical achievement and theory of achievement and physical quality are corresponding to the above content.(3) Most of Colleges Physical Education Department of Henan province think that teacher's evaluation is the major of student's performance evaluation, meanwhile, they adopt the methods of“separation of teaching and examination”.(4) The process of gymnastic performance evaluation: Unified examination and grading of technology and theory, while teachers evaluate the student's examination results on leaning attitude and physical fitness.(5) When distribute the proportion of the score most of colleges adopting the way of the daily results account for 20%, for the theoretical results and technical achievements,each of them accounts for 40%.(6) As for the present evaluation performance,95.8%teachers think that the present system of performance evaluation can reflect student's practical gymnastic ability.2. Problems in the evaluation of students' Gymnastic Performance:(1) The choice of performance evaluation content is not comprehensive enough, for instance, a lot of colleges did have the evaluation for students' ability of helping and protecting.(2) In the process of Gymnastics Technical Evaluation, as a result of some colleges operate the evaluation criteria for students' performance optionally, it's inevitable to lead to greater performance error, thus the objectivity of performance evaluation will be influenced.(3)Without enough scientific nature of the fraction of the evaluation index would influence the comprehensive improvement of students' gymnastic ability.(4) The evaluation results of students' performance did not play the function of motivation, orientation and discrimination adequately and comprehensively.3. Analysis on the problems in the evaluation of students' Gymnastic performance:(1) Without determining the proportion of evaluation performance appropriately, which means it's difficult to reflect students' ability of gymnastic accurately and actually, thus will make a influence on the scientific of the performance evaluation.The implementation of the technical grade evaluation standard of gymnastics lacks of enough rigor, meanwhile, there is no enough understanding of the teaching ability of Gymnastic Teaching in primary and middle schools.(2) The evaluation did not comprehend the characteristics and abilities of undergraduate students in physical education, what's more, also lack of adequate understanding of teaching ability of Gymnastics Teaching in primary and secondary schools.(3) In the process ofevaluating students' skill performance, because the professional technical grade evaluation standard is not clear enough, as well as the evaluation of the difference between the aesthetic and the sense of responsibility, it's easy to cause the evaluation result is not accurate enough.(4) Teachers and students are neither not familiar with the gymnastic ability, nor have strict requirements for improving the ability of gymnastics.4. Polices to make the evaluation of students' gymnastic results become more and more scientific and objective:(1) Plan the scores ratio distribution reasonably, pay more attention to the evaluation of students' skill level of practical operation, also establish and improve the system of encouraging students' achievements, distribute the proportion of scores in the encouraging policy scientifically at the same time.(2) Suggest adopting the model of separating teaching and test, or joint evaluation with other colleges and universities, train the backbone of students, and monitor the standards of performance evaluation strictly.(3)Make arrangements for evaluation content, choose the methods of evaluating and type scientifically according to the reality.
