The Study On The Cultivation Of The Innovative Talent At Universities

With the deepening of economic globalization, competition among countries inthe world is increasingly fierce. On the world stage of economy, competition amongcountries directly means the competition on talent, and the development scale of theinnovative talent is a main standard to measure a country’s overall level of talentdevelopment. Meanwhile, compared with the world level, the overall level of talentdevelopment is quite lower, and talent with all levels and high quality can’t meet theneed of the development of economy and society. Especially, talent with high levels isnot much, innovative ability is weak, and the investment to talent resources isinadequate.While living, Dr. Xuesen Qian ever questioned Premier Jiabao Wen on severaloccasions:“Why could not our education yield outstanding talent?” How to answer Dr.Qian’s Question? The Outline of Educational Development, issued in2010, putsforward to update the concept of talent cultivation, to construct the concept ofdiversified talent, to respect personal choice, to encourage individual development,and to foster talent of all sorts. In the era of knowledge-driven economy, innovativetalent has become fundamental in upgrading a country’s core competitiveness. How tocultivate innovative talent and innovate the educational model has thus become aproject encountered by the whole society.The paper tries to study the cultivation of innovative talent at universities andputs forward to the new views through analyzing the existing research results andclarifying related concepts. Besides, some strategies have been given so as to providethe theoretical enlightenment and practical guidance for the cultivation of innovativetalent at university.The paper is divided into five parts:Chapter One is introduction. Put forward the paper’s research purpose andmeaning, overview the existing research results and describe research methods andinnovative points.Chapter Two includes the basic theories about the cultivation of innovative talent.The paper redefines the connotation of the innovative talent and its cultivation, emphasizing the special need for the innovative talent nowadays.Chapter Three is about the current situation of the innovative talent’s cultivation.This part mainly introduces the process and major modes of the innovative talent’scultivation at universities, and analyzes the main problems and causes.Chapter Four focuses on the comparative analysis on the cultivation modesand cultivation experience of the innovative talent at home and abroad. Try togain proper experience by comparison with the cultivation modes of the US,Germany, Japan and other developed countries.Chapter Five comes up with the strategies and suggestions on the innovativetalent’s cultivation in our country. Based on the major problems and other countries’experience, the paper provides practical suggestions in three aspects, like speeding theinnovation of the cultivation mechanism, constructing new cultivation modes of theinnovative talent, and forming the innovative teaching staff.
