The Research On The Professionalism Of The College Assistant And The Government Policy

The assistant for political and ideological work, who works in the college, plays a basic and important role in cultivating the students’politics and ideology. Therefore, the management of the assistant is so significant that it has effects on the stabilization of the crew of assistants, students’comprehensive development and the harmony of a college and even of our society. The professionalism of the assistant is essential for the development of college education as well as the trend. In this thesis, the author studies on the professionalism of the college assistant for political and ideological work and its relation with government policy in the following chapters. In the first chapter, the author gives an introduction on the professionalism of the college assistant. It mainly includes the professionalism of the college assistant, the features of this profession and the significance of the professionalism of the college assistant. In the second chapter, analyzing the problems exist in the process of their work, the author explores the issues related to their work. For example, the unclear-cut division of labour, unspecific responsibilities, the poor training system in colleges, dark future of the career and so on. The problems above become the obstacle in the progress of professionalism of the college assistant. The government policy on professionalism of the college assistant is discussed in Chapter4. And this chapter is about the measures shaped by the government in the process of professionalism of the college assistant. For instance, working out the criterion in employing the college assistant, forming the system of responsibilities the college assistant should be charged with, and forming merit system on them. The policy above may guarantee the efficient professionalism of the college assistant. In order to make the college assistant professional, from an operative level, the government should stick to the efficient system while it is adopting the policy. Exactly speaking, what the government should insist on are the criterion in employing the college assistant, training system, career planning system, merit system, etc.The last chapter is about designing the mode of government strategies. It elaborates the modes of professionalism of the college assistant adopted by the government in different developing stages. For example, during the training period of the college assistant’s career, to fulfill the training and adopt related policy is necessary; to provide more opportunities for exchanging experience and so on; during the maturation period of the college assistant’s career, the government may enact policy to enhance the merit system.The research on the professionalism of the college assistant and the government policy is based on the pedagogy, management and sociology. Analyzing the government policy related to the professionalism of the college assistant in different stages is essential to promote the development of the professionalism of the college assistant and form an efficient and reliable college assistant crew, which eventually adds to the development of college education and the cultivation of the college students with ability.
