The colleges in Changchun and the students, teachers ofthat were chosen as the investigation objects. Four colleges and universities,15university teachers,200college school students were surveyed a random sample. Themethods of literature, questionnaire, statistics, expert interviews and others were usedto analyzing the wushu free combat teaching situation in colleges of Changchun andcorresponding the countermeasures.Wushu free combat teaching in the universities of Changchun are being carriedout not balanced, which just got to carry out and a relatively weak of teacher forces,incomplete, venues and facilities to meet the needs of students to that. Through thesurvey of four universities in Changchun what can be found is that the lacking wushufree combat teaching teachers, more male teachers, little proportion of female teachers,reasonable age composition of teachers, teachers having lower academic titles whichis in good condition compared with other martial arts class teacher, lower specificityof the teachers, the referee grade level need to be adjusted, relatively backward in theresearch of that, and less follow-up training. The more widely carried out of wushufree combat in colleges and universities needs the coordinating of related factors of itscourses.In the colleges and universities which had already carried out the wushu freecombat course, students are educated mainly by elective course, and students are alsofreshman and sophomore students. Although wushu free combat has rich teachingcontent and comprehensive curriculum, it has few teaching methods and a single formof organization. Different schools have different curriculum materials, which lacks ofa unified teaching materials in wushu free combat. From the survey of school students which can be seen is that the motivation ofchoosing elective Combating Classes is multiple. Students like a high favor degree ofwushu free combat, and wushu free combat in the17sports surveyed ranked in fifthplace. Due to the traditional strengths of wushu free combat, students have a relativelyhigh cognition level in that and also have a accreditation learning in wushu freecombat.Less of the extracurricular activities of college students are related to wushu freecombat, and the venues used for its practice is also rare, which lack of guidance either.These factors greatly affect the students’ enthusiasm to study wushu free combatoutside the classroom. Colleges and universities in Changchun rarely carried out thecompetition related to wushu free combat. In the four universities surveyed, only onebe able to participate in the competition, one has its intramural competition Thereforethe competition organization of wushu free combat is required in colleges anduniversities.According to the survey analysis, the related measures to promote thedevelopment of the teaching of wushu free combat in Changchun are put forward:colleges and universities in Changchun should change their understanding of wushufree combat in teaching courses: increase financial input, and strengthen the teachers’construction of that, prompting teachers to improve teaching standards, unifiedmaterials of wushu free combat, improve the hardware infrastructure, carry out thecompetition, so that students can get exercise exchanges, learning experience in thepromotion of taekwondo, by those means to prompt the greater development in wushufree combat teaching in colleges and universities in Changchun.
