| Many education reforms revolve around how to better promote the development of students.There is a big change in psychology of Junior high school students entering puberty. And schoolsand families emphasize on the College entrance rate too much, so high school students are facinga lot of pressure, and feeling lost and confused on many issues which they do not know how tosolve. Students develop are hampered by physical and psychological health problems. How tohighlight the role of teachers in the development of students and to promote physical and mentaldevelopment of young people is the focus of the study. In this study, there is comprehensiveconsideration of factors such as family environment, school environment, social cultural andethical factors, etc. Physical and cognitive development characteristics of students are alsoanalyzed. From the aspects of students’ nutritional health, emotion and morality, interpersonaldevelopment, self-education ability and the formation of the professional role, combined with thetextbook knowledge systems, we seperately discuss the role of the teachers in the differentaspects of promoting student development.This paper, using documents, interviews and philosophical speculation, analyzes theoriesof promoting student development status quo and its reasons, the status quo of the teachers’ role,and finally the implementation of the role of teachers discussed from different developmentalaspects of the students. Research results are discussed with incumbent teachers to form theinterview results.The paper has five parts. The first part analyzes the background of the study, discusses thedevelopment of the times, several aspects of the curriculum reform in China, social andbiological disciplines to strengthen the role of teachers; the second part is a theoretical discussiondefining the concept of junior high school students and afterwards the relevant concept from thetwo aspects of physical, cognitive development. Concurrently there is in-depth analysis of therole of teachers, including analysis of the role of teachers from the remarks of ancient China scholars’view, and from our many education curriculum reforms which analyze teachers’roleand the teachers’ role of the state in the evolution. At length, we analyze the theoretical basisinvolving this research. The third section discusses the purpose, significance, and methods of thisstudy. The significance of the study helps promote the development of students, helps teachersplay their role and promotes the professional development of teachers. The fourth part is dividedinto three parts. First of all, the status quo of the development of high school students is analyzed.Second, the status quo of high school biology teaching and its reasons are analyzed. At length,we analyze the teachers’ role from the educational value of the teacher role, the function andcontents, the constraints of the existing teaching and learning conditions to students’developconditions, and the lack of coordination and cooperation of the three aspects: society, school, andfamily education limiting the development of students. The fifth part is to discuss the particularcontents of the role of the teachers, from four aspects: the students’physical, emotional andmoral development, the ability of self-education and the formation of professional roles. Thesixth part is the biology teachers’professional development. Part VII is the conclusions.After a series of analyses and discusses on the basis of previous research, the author believethat teachers should, from four aspects: the students’physical, emotional and moral development,the ability of self-education and the formation of professional roles, combined with theknowledge system of teaching materials, play effectively the role of teachers. Meanwhile, thebiology teacher should constantly improve their own educational theory, psychological theory toenhance the educational and teaching level in order to better promote the development ofstudents. |
