As the world economic and political integration process up, the English ability inthe modern society is playing more and more important role. Improving the efficiencyof English teaching and developing the communicative talents who can meet thesocial development have become the main goal of modern foreign language teaching.The traditional English teaching pattern can not meet the needs of the society fortalents. In order to improve students’ comprehensive ability of using language,Full-time Compulsory General High School English Curriculum Standardsformulated by the national Ministry of Education put forward clearly that advocatetask-driving teaching mode.In the English class of junior high school, correctly use the task driving teachingmode in which we should pay attention to combining the language teaching andapplication of learners daily life language, abandon the teaching method of simplyimparting language and let the students get knowledge in the process of finishing thetasks in order to achieve the aims of teaching better. Compared with the traditionalteaching mode, the task driving teaching model can provide students with more reallanguage application situations and more opportunities for communication and it iseasy to achieve the teaching aims. The task driving mode can mobilize the enthusiasmof students. It can cultivate students’ autonomous learning ability, cooperation abilityand the ability to solve practical problems.The thesis divided into five parts, studying the application of the task divingteaching mode in English class of junior high school.The first part discusses the research background, significance and researchmethods and solutions in the application of the task diving teaching mode in Englishclass of junior high school.The second part is the summary of the task diving mode of English teaching inthe junior middle school. First, propose what the definition of task is, then what itsconnotation and characteristics is. And then analyze the present domestic and foreign research situation and the involved related theory for the theoretical foundation of theconstruction of the teaching mode.The third part is the construction of the task diving teaching mode in Englishclass of junior high school. Analyze the English teaching materials of the juniormiddle school and the teaching characteristics and combine with the characteristics oftask-driving teaching mode to study task-driving teaching mode of English in thejunior middle school. According to the reality of school teaching materials, arrangethe teaching programs and analyze matters needing attention in each teaching step.Taking The New Target English as an example, try to introduce the teaching examplesof task diving teaching mode according to different classes and to introduce problemsthat should pay attention to in the implementation of all classes.The fourth part is the task-driving teaching mode experimental study of juniormiddle school in English teaching. The theory of the junior high school teachingdriving teaching mode is applied to the concrete teaching practice and the process andresults are discussed. Through the analysis of the teaching experiment, discuss theadvantages and disadvantages of the task driving teaching mode application in allaspects.The fifth part is the reflection and prospect of the task driving teaching modestudy in the English class of junior high school. It is the summary of the wholeresearch. Then get the superiority of task driving English teaching mode applied injunior middle school English teaching and a reflection of its shortage, so that the taskdriving type teaching can promote junior high school students’ comprehensive abilityof using language.
