Professional basketball league in China with the Xinjiang Guanghui BasketballClub (hereinafter referred to as CBA)’s remarkable success, driving the developmentof basketball in Xinjiang, but also showing a good momentum of development, thedevelopment of Xinjiang’s basketball has brought newopportunity. However,Guanghui Basketball Team in the League has won second achievement of view, CGAmen’s basketball yet to be resolved for further development. Look at the NationalUniversity Basketball Association (hereinafter referred to CUBA), in recent years,Xinjiang Division team basically stop at the Northwest Division. The reason is thelack of basketball Reserve Talent in Xinjiang.High school students basketball team is the core of the basketball Reserve Talent,played an important role in the upward transport of personnel, down to cultivate thetalent. In this study, based on access to relevant literature of the questionnaire, expertinterviews, the number of reasonable statistical method such as research methods,research the2011Xinjiang middle school basketball game of the44participatingteams as well as relevant experts, the following conclusions:1. Xinjiang, a lack of cultivation of reserve talents of high school studentsbasketball policies, lack of guidance on administrative, educational departments at alllevels to train the future, nor to inspire local schools to develop basketball reservepersonnel initiative. Reserve personnel security2.system is flawed, and little incentivefor coaches, athletes and parents.2.Xinjiang students’ basketball competition imperfect system, is not binding onall levels of administration, education sector and incentives. To form a top-downuniform contest system, development is not balanced around the middle schoolstudents basketball team.3. Xinjiang secondary school as a whole emphasis on the development ofsecondary school students basketball team, basketball team training, competition,funding does not give strong support. The school ground equipment is scarce, as canonly meet the basic training. Less incentive for coaches.4. the majority of coaches for undergraduate education, and has some movementexperience, exercise level, the referee level. But the prevalence of professional sportsexperience less than full-time is not high, the lack of professional knowledge andskills training, the overall level is not high enough phenomenon.5.Athletes generally basic quality is good, love basketball, basketball goal. Learning tasks, heavier, less training time. High-level athletes less.Xinjiang Students’ basketball tournament publicity smaller build is insufficient.
